The crypt is extremely popular for a wide range of functions from dinners and product launches to receptions.
Celebrate your event in the oldest structure in Dublin, steeped in tradition and lit by candle light. Each event at Christ Church Cathedral Crypt is completely individual and our Events Officer will work with you directly to ensure that your event is an evening to remember.
With its stone walls and 11th Century Medieval interior, it offers an evening with a difference for those seeking a private, intimate and elegant evening.
It contains underfloor heating, air conditioning and can accommodate up to 120 comfortably for a seated dinner , and up to 200 for a standing reception
The price of hiring the Crypt depends on the length of the reception and the time of year. Please note that the fees are charged starting from setting up for the event until locking of the Cathedral. Should events run over the time specified, charges will be applied as indicated.
We have some preferred caterers who we feel perfectly complement the space at Christ Church Cathedral. They are also competitively priced for such a high standard that we feel very confident in recommending them.
If you would like to see the Crypt just drop us a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be delighted to show you around.

The venue is unique, definite ‘WOW’ factor for any event. You can make the space seem cavernous or really snug with simple placement of props and furniture. Event team are helpful and there is a sense that they want all that happens in CCC to be a great success whereas in some venues you get a feeling that once the space has been sold, they don’t care.

Thank you for all your organisation as well and all those who made the day run so smoothly. In particular we appreciated the welcoming breakfast and the fabulous lunch afterwards. The boys also enjoyed the chance to watch the St Patrick’s Day parade and they also enjoyed the various stalls that were set up in the cathedral grounds.
