Join us during Heritage Week this year for a range of activities aimed at the younger ones. From special tours for them to nature trails we’re sure there’s something to keep them occupied for hours!


Nature Themed Treasure Trail – Running all week

Find the answers to fun questions about animals and nature at Christ Church Cathedral as you explore the building with our special Heritage Week Treasure Trail. Simply grab a work sheet from the Welcome Desk and discover away! Prizes will be available from the Welcome Desk for anyone under the age of 12 who finds all the answers.


Free Children’s Monks Tours – Tuesday 22nd and Saturday 26th September – Midday

Come and join us for our very special free children’s Monks Tours of Christ Church Cathedral. Children have the chance to dress up in a habit and learn all about how the monks lived in the cathedral; what they ate; what they did; what they ate and what they did every day. This tour finishes in the crypt and is aimed at 7 – 10-year-olds though age limits are flexible. The tour is free but places are limited and must be booked. Children’s Crypt Trail – Tuesday 22nd September 13.00 – 17.45

Children can come along and explore the crypt and complete our special archeological and historical crypt trail, learning about all the ways the crypt has featured in Dublin life. Please arrive a few minutes early and ask the Welcome Desk Team about the tour.
