This medieval church is mind-blowing and will leave you speechless after visiting. There are still many old elements that make this place a must when visiting Dublin. The fact that they still have the old tiles on the floor or that a mummified cat and rat trapped in one of the church pipe’s organ. The crypt is also a fascinating location you need to visit. You can even dress up in some old traditional Irish clothing. A shop is there to offer a great variety of options. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and always ready to answer any questions. It’s an absolute must to visit when in Dublin.

I loved visiting this cathedral, right after St. Pats no less…they are both outstanding edifices, that encapsulate everything that Ireland stands for! You will find no shortage of historical artefacts, decorated tombs, and descriptive plaques within. It details how the cathedral came to be, how it changed over time (including the partial collapse which triggered creation of a Victorian-era wall of a different colour), and a myriad of religious exhibits in the extensive crypt.

Truly a slice of heaven on earth! I’ve experience Evensongs at St. Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, York Cathedral, Sagrada Familia, and more. Christ Church Cathedral choir ranks high on the list.

A wonderful place where spirituality combines with art and Irish history. Everything is special: the paintings, the stained-glass windows, the floor that contains the oldest models, dating from the medieval era, including the drawings with foxes dressed as pilgrims (they are a brand of the cathedral). Don’t forget to look at the cathedral from the outside as well, possibly from the sidewalk in front of you to get a complete picture that will delight your eyes.

We spent well over an hour admiring this beautiful building, accompanied by a really interesting and informative audio guide that helped put the story of the cathedral in context through words and the wonderful music of the Christ Church Choir.

Great tour. The church is beautiful! It’s hard to imagine that it is as old as it is. Lots of history there. The stained glass windows, the floor tiles, the architecture are all amazing.

The building is absolutely beautiful and a very fair price for admittance. The stained glass windows, tiles, and architecture were gorgeous. The audio tour is worth checking out as it has multiple options and you can learn a lot about the history of the cathedral. We did return here for a second visit- definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful architecture, recommended by our tour guide for further exploration after our tour of the city. Did not disappoint. So much history in the building it is difficult to take it all in. Worth spending hours walking around and experiencing the place. The self guided tours were excellent and allowed you to absorb everything at your own pace.

Stunning Cathedral with lots of history. Plenty to see. Staff at the entrance very informative and more than happy to explain the impact of Henry VIII, Lord of Ireland and then King of Ireland, on religion of the day.

Had a guided tour of the cathedral and crypt. I have passed by the cathedral so many times when in Dublin and never realised its history. Thanks to wonderful guide, I learned so much in the hour long tour. Please opt for the guided tour if possible- they bring the story alive – so knowledgeable!! Put a visit on your ‘to do list’ when next in Dublin!

We were very fortunate to attend mass at the Cathedral, within stunning surroundings listening to the beautiful choir and organ.

Was very impressed with Christ Church. When you arrive and purchase your ticket you were able to use your phone to scan a QR code to be able to listen to all of the tour as you walk through. I would suggest earbuds, we forgot ours but were able to do the tour without disturbing anyone. Very well done tour with loads of information. You’re surrounded by the history and the beauty of this amazing building. Do you check times because they do have services.
