The Cathedral as a Cultural Focus in Metropolitan Setting

Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin is looking forward to hosting members of the Cathedral, Libraries and Archives Association at its triennial conference in Dublin from the 19th to the 21st June 2013. Christ Church has been renowned for the excellence of its liturgical and musical traditions over many years, and has over the past decade sought to increase its cultural profile in the city of Dublin, as part of its mission of outreach, education and hospitality. The theme selected for the 2013 conference is “The cathedral as cultural focus in a metropolitan setting”. The conference will feature talks from distinguished speakers on such topics as Music and Liturgy, Architecture and Art and The Cathedral Archives, as well as featuring an Overview of Cultural Initiatives at Christ Church Cathedral in recent times.
