This is a day when the church commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist by Jesus at the last supper. In the morning the Archbishop gathers with all the clergy and lay readers of the United Dioceses to renew their ordination vows and the bless the holy oils for use in the church throughout the year for baptism, confirmation and the sacrament of the sick (Holy Unction). This takes place in the context of the celebration of a full sung Eucharist to which everyone is welcome to attend.
