Christ Church Cathedral is delighted to be taking part in Culture Night again on Friday 22nd September 2023!
Christ Church’s audio guide uses storytelling to bring the cathedral’s nearly 1,000-year history to life in a new and exciting way. It is offered in five languages; English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Irish Sign Language and Audio Descriptive tours are also available with transcriptions (in English only). Once booked, from your confirmation email, please download the audio guide onto your own device and bring your own earphones/headphones for the night. Visitors are able to choose from three different themes as they explore: ‘Power and Politics’, ‘Christ Church & the City’ and ‘Music & Spirituality’.
Please note:
There is a limit of 200 spaces available for each self-guided tour and they must be pre-booked in advance. Click here to book now. The audio guide must be downloaded onto your own device as physical devices will not be available on the night. Please do so from the link sent in the confirmation email.
The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Latecomers will not be admitted.
There are no bathroom facilities on site and no storage for large bags, buggies, prams, etc.
There are 17 steps down to the Crypt.

On September 22nd 2023 doors will open later and special and unique events will be specifically programmed at participating locations and, thanks to the continued support of the Arts Council and Local Authorities across the island of Ireland, all activities will be available to the public free of charge.
