Every day in the Cathedral’s worship we read the psalms. The psalms are some of the most beautiful poetry ever written, and they contain every human state from elation to depression, hope to fear and anger to joy. Their lilting cadences comfort, encourage, inspire, equip and challenge us as we walk through life with God day by day. The psalms treat issues of perennial relevance like self-knowledge, journeying, mental illness, nationalism, colonialism and the Other.
This autumn join Edwin, our Dean’s Vicar, for a series of discussions on the psalms, and have the opportunity to choose your favourite psalm for discussion!
We will meet in the Cathedral on Monday 11 September at 6.00 pm, and on each following Monday on Zoom, until 2 October, when we will meet in person, and then on Zoom again until 6 November, when we will gather in person again for our concluding session.
To help us plan for numbers at our in-person meetings please email ei.hcruhctsirhc@racivsnaed to indicate your interest.
