An exhibition of Icons and Mosaics was launched on Thursday 2 June and will run until 11 October 2022. The exhibition displays works by Adrienne Lord who is an accomplished Iconographer and who has mounted similar exhibitions in the cathedral in past years. The goal of this exhibition is to raise money for charity. The artist has donated her Icons and Mosaics for this purpose. All Icons and mosaics are for sale. A 10% deposit will secure the purchase and can be paid at the welcome desk or email the artist at moc.liamg@8002hginrit. The rest of the money will be donated to one of the nominated charities chosen by the purchaser.
The purchased Icons and Mosaics will be available for collection as and from 6th October 2022 in the cathedral. An embossed silver Icon of the Virgin and Child worth 1,000 euro will be raffled. Tickets are available at the cathedral welcome desk for the duration of the exhibition. Ticket sales will be donated to the Bishops’ Appeal for Ukraine. The winner will be drawn on the 6th October 2022 when the Icon will be available for collection.
