Lenten Bible Study Series
This year’s Lenten Bible Study Series returns with a theme of ‘God’s Hearts for Migrants’. The UNHCR now estimates that the number of refugees, asylum-seekers and internally displaced people worldwide has, for the first time in the post-World War II era, exceeded 50 million people. This situations challenges Christians around the world to consider what response their faith calls them to make. Our Lenten Bible study series this year will provide space for theological reflection and discussion around this issue.
The Biblical Association of the Church of Ireland recently held the official launch of the study, can read more here. Given the current situation of refugees across Europe, Christ Church Cathedral is delighted to be part of the prayer and reflection taking place around this issue within the wider body of the church.
The dates for our sessions are:
9th March
16th March
23rd March
30th March
6th April
All sessions will take place in the crypt of Christ Church Cathedral between 1900 – 2100. The sessions are free of charge to attend and everyone is welcome to attend.
