On the 18 June we had the pleasure of welcoming Counsellor Mr. George Marques from the Embassy of Brazil to the cathedral to experience our new audio guide available in Portuguese.
Counsellor Marques was warmly greeted by our Dean, The Very Revd Dermot Dunne, our Head of Learning, Dr. Ruth Kenny, and one of our Portuguese-speaking Cathedral Assistants, Kelly Tavolassi.
Portuguese-speaking visitors represent a growing segment of our cathedral’s visitor profile. With over 50,000 Brazilians residing in Ireland, we are delighted to expand our interpretive offerings within the cathedral to better serve both international and domestic audiences.
