Regular Giving

Christ Church Cathedral would like to thank those who choose to give on a regular basis to support the cathedral’s ministry.

If you would like to support the cathedral regularly, you can do so in two ways, secure in the knowledge that all financial details are held securely and remain confidential.

For those who attend regularly and wish to give on a weekly basis, Weekly Contribution Envelopes are available from Desmond Campbell on ku.oc.oohay@llebpmacednomsed.

Others prefer the convenience of a standing order and our congregants are more than welcome to do so. To set up a standing order, please return this form to ei.hcruhctsirhc@ecnanif

Main Benefits and Details of the Scheme

While there is no stated minimum for regular giving, Irish taxpayers who donate a minimum of €250 in a calendar year enable Christ Church Cathedral to claim a tax refund. To qualify for this tax rebate the giver must be registered for PAYE or be Self Assessed for tax purposes. For those who qualify, your donation is grossed up at the specified rate (currently 31%) which means that every €100 given is worth €145 to the Cathedral. Tax must have been paid in the appropriate Tax Year equal to or exceeding the tax being reclaimed by the Cathedral.

Receipts will be issued annually and you will be asked to complete and sign a CHY (charity) certificate confirming the donations and the tax refund due to the Cathedral. No action is necessary in this regard on your own personal Tax Return.

You can access the CHY3 form here.

Through this scheme, we aim to get the most out of any donations our congregants make towards Christ Church Cathedral. However smaller contributions are very welcome, as every little helps!
