For nearly a thousand years, Christ Church Cathedral has stood at the heart of Dublin — a sacred space, a cultural landmark, and a powerful symbol of faith and continuity. From its 11th-century origins to its role today as a living place of worship and welcome, this extraordinary building has been shaped by generations of stewards who gave generously to preserve it for the future.
As we approach the Cathedral’s millennium in 2028, we are embarking on an ambitious restoration and renewal campaign: Stewards of the Cathedral’s Millennium.
This once-in-a-generation effort invites friends and visitors to play their part in preparing Christ Church for the next thousand years.
“Christ Church Cathedral now stands at a
defining point in its story. As the
Cathedral approaches its millennium, we
invite you to join us in protecting this
treasure for generations to come.” –
Very Revd Dermot Dunne, Dean
