Church Cathedral (founded c.1028) is the spiritual heart of the city, and one of the top visitor attractions in Dublin. The Cathedral is also popular as a venue for concerts, corporate dinners, and other events.

The role of the Gift Shop is to provide our visitors with mementos of the overall experience whilst developing it as a major revenue stream. The gift shop is a commercial entity that supports maintenance and upkeep of the cathedral. The shop experience is integral to building future advocates for the brand and driving word of mouth to grow visitor numbers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To support the Retail Operations for Christ Church Cathedral.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer service.
• Stocking shop floor and pricing.
• Maintain visual merchandising/Shop stock layout.
• Daily set up of shop floor.
• Daily cashier duties.
• Supporting accurate stocktakes.
• Any other duties or responsibilities that are deemed appropriate.
• Other duties as directed by Management

Rotas are based around a seven day week, including early/late shifts and weekends. Rate of pay €15.00 per hour.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Outgoing, friendly & courteous;
• Excellent customer service experience;
• Strong team player;
• Good communication skills;
• A warm, welcoming, professional attitude;
• A fluent English speaker;
• Capable of working in a fast paced environment;
• Overseas language skills, French in particular is desirable but not essential.

AVAILABILITY

• Applicants must be available to begin training and work immediately upon reference check.
