The Archbishop celebrates the commemoration of the Passion. This is a service in which we reflect on the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer, the veneration of the Cross, the singing of the Passion Gospel of St John and the praying of intercessions for the Church, the world and for peace. This service begins with the sung Lamentations of
Jeremiah and is interspersed with hymns and motets sung by the cathedral choir.
