Become a Friend of Christ Church Cathedral!

The Friends of Christ Church Cathedral Dublin were founded in 1929 and are one of the oldest organisations of their kind in Ireland. They play an important role in helping to care for and maintain the cathedral to a high standard.

With the support of the Friends and individual donors, work has included:

  • cleaning and revoicing the organ, installed in 1984
  • installing oak chairs in the nave
  • restoring the crypt and treasury
  • releading stained-glass windows
  • cleaning the cathedral’s exterior stonework
