Youth Engagement & Learning

We are passionate about sharing our musical tradition with a broad audience. We offer programs for aspiring singers and organists, aiming to encourage high-quality musical composition, promote accessibility, and inspire the next generation of church musicians.

Organ Outreach

Our free organ outreach sessions, led by the cathedral organists, act as an introduction to a mysterious instrument.

Students learn the organ within the Anglican tradition, and the cathedral can cover the cost of the lessons.
If you are interested and aged 10-17, you can learn more at our Learn the Organ! Information Pack.

Visit our Facebook page for information about the next organ outreach session.

Choral Outreach in Schools

We provide high-quality choral education in the classroom, led by our Music Outreach Coordinator.

The children, primarily in 4th-6th classes, can perform in the cathedral with our choirs and can be invited to attend one of the cathedral choir’s sell-out Christmas concerts.

A young person plays the cathedral organ, and two other people stand and watch nearby.
