Visiting Christ Church as a group is a fantastic way to spend a day out in Dublin.
Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets at the reduced rate of €9.50
Self-guided tours include an audio guide and admission to the crypt as well as the ‘Treasures of Christ Church’ exhibition.
Available from the welcome desk, Christ Church’s audio guides bring the cathedral’s nearly 1,000-year history to life through storytelling.
The audio guides are offered in seven languages: English, French, German, Spanish Polish and Portuguese and Italian. Irish Sign Language and Audio Descriptive tours are also available with English transcriptions.
Visitors can choose from three themes as they explore: ‘Power and Politics’, ‘Christ Church and the City’, and ‘Music and Spirituality’. You are welcome to bring your own guide.

School tours are also available. It is amazing to see children experiencing the wonder of the cathedral for the first time.

In March 2012, a bizarre story began to unfold, when the heart associated with St Laurence O’Toole was stolen from the wall-mounted, metal cage in which it was displayed in the cathedral. Despite international headlines about the overnight theft, the heart’s loss seemed puzzling but permanent.
