On Friday 23 January 2015, 8pm
An Interdenominational Service in the Irish language will be held in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, on Friday, 23 January 2015 at 8pm, organised by Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise and Pobal an Aifrinn. This service, a tradition for over 40 years, will celebrate Church Unity Week, with hymns, prayers and readings. A consort of Christ Church Cathedral choir will sing at the service. Clergy from various churches will be present, and Rev’d Ian Coulter will preach this year. Representative of the Lord Mayor will be present also.
Refreshments will be available in the medieval cathedral crypt after the service. Last year, Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise (The Irish Guild of the Church) celebrated its centenary this year and there has been much progress and growth from their activities throughout the country. We are proud that this Interdenominational Service is the first commemorative service of Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise in 2015. This Service, for which there is considerable support, was started in 1971 during the Troubles.
All are welcome.
Prayer resources for the entire week can be found at http://www.ctbi.org.uk/681
