UCD Choral Scholars will present their annual Spring Concert – Suaimhneas – in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin 2, at 8pm on Thursday 24th April 2014. This programme will include repertoire performed on tour of the United States of America in March 2014, some works presented at the Temple bar Traditional Music Festival in January 2014 – Sailing Away: Songs of Farewell – and works by composers such as Luca Marenzio (c1553-1599), Giovanni Gabrieli (c1554-1612), Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643), Nicolaus Bruhns (1665-1697), Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) and Ola Gjeilo (b1978). UCD Choral Scholars will be joined by renowned early-music specialists Therese Timoney (violin), Sarah Moffat (violin), Malachy Robinson (bass viol), and the Berlin-based singer, Andrew Redmond (bass).
