Our service this morning includes the ordination of a Priest for the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Worldwide. The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Worldwide (LELCW) is a Lutheran denomination with a presence in Latvia, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. It is a member of the Lutheran World Federation, which it joined as a founding member in 1947. It is also a member of the World Council of Churches and the Conference of European Churches and part of the Porvoo Communion.
