Today we welcome Hartford & North Country Union High School Choirs to perform a lunchtime recital at 13:30.
Admission to the recital is included in the usual cathedral entry.
Hartford High School Choir Bio
Hartford High School’s Chamber Choir is an audition based ensemble made up of students from 9th grade to 12th grade in White River Jct., Vermont. The Chamber Choir is under the direction of Andrea Nardone. The Chamber Choir has performed at the United States Post Office releasing of the Birds in Winter Forever Stamps in 2018. Many of the students in the choir have also sung in many honor choirs throughout New England, including; New England Music Festival, VT All State, and VT District VI Music Festivals.
North Country Union High School Choir Bio
The North Country Select Choir is the auditioned ensemble at North Country Union High School in Newport, VT. The ensemble includes singers in grades 9-12, and is under the direction of Danielle Carrier. In addition to presenting four concerts each year at their school, the ensemble also annually performs at the Vermont Madrigal Festival. Students from this ensemble act as leaders in the other three choral ensembles at North Country, and are required to audition for their local district music festival. Many of these singers choose to participate in other auditioned festivals, including the Vermont All State Music Festival, the New England Music Festival, and NAfME All National Honor Choirs. Singers in the North Country Select Choir consistently represent their school and community well by committing to excellence as musicians, students, and people.
