Enjoy a lunchtime recital today at 13:30 performed by the Molde Choir all the way from the city of Molde, Norway.
Admission to the recital is included in the usual cathedral entry.
Molde is located on the west coast, midway between Bergen and Trondheim. The choir was founded in 1925, so in 2025 the choir celebrates its 100th anniversary. We are a choir consisting of 50 female and male voices. We will be coming to Dublin with just over 30 singers and our conductor is Synne Teiseth Norbeck. The Molde Choir sings from a wide repertoire, both church music and more secular music. We have a high level of activity throughout the year, with the exception of the summer holidays in the period June – August. The choir holds concerts both locally and nationally. In addition, the choir likes to travel and we have toured over large parts of Europe. For many years there has been great interest in going to Ireland/Dublin and the choir is now looking forward to seeing the country and, not least, singing in beautiful locations.
